5 Unique Tips for your Wedding Bod
Bride and Groom happy at their reception.
Workout first, diet later.
If you want to get started with the easiest, most beneficial choice, choose Exercise. Dieting and exercise share a symbiotic relationship. You can make a difference if you work hard on just one of them, but they transform you when used together. Maybe for you, one is easier than the other though, and getting started is where most people quit either way.
Our bodies get used to the food we’re eating, even if it’s terrible for us, unless you make a change. A motivational change can be enough sometimes, but you’ll have to repeatedly summon your strongest will power, all day everyday.
To put it simply, when your body starts to work harder, it demands what it needs. A physical change will harness the power of your subconscious brain. You only have to make one motivated decision each day, to increase your heart rate for an hour, and the rest will follow.
The after burn effect will have you utilizing more of the calories you’ve eaten or stored in fat throughout the day.
Fast forward two weeks, and 12 simple workouts.
Now your body has physically changed to help with your health goal. You spend more calories than ever before, and you’re allowed to eat exactly the same. You shouldn’t see any visual progress, and that’s okay, because we’ll get there.
Now you should feel more capable of choosing harder exercises, and the food that you eat feels more justified. So do more sets, more reps, or push your cardio 20 minutes longer each day.
Fast forward two more weeks, and 12 workouts at an elevated level.
Now when you get a breath of fresh air, it feels great. When you use the stairs, you may be sore, but your breathing feels amazing, and making healthy eating choices seems more natural.
This is the power of making small wins. Each time you complete a workout, the next one becomes easier in your mind. Each time your body becomes more efficient, it will be more willing to ask for healthy food. Each time you’re rewarded with healthy food, the next workout becomes more accessible to your mind.
2. Include your Wedding Party.
Wedding traditions are rich in relationships, between friends and family.
For example, there’s the group photos of Bridesmaids and Groomsmen.
There’s Bachelorette Parties, and the famous reception speeches.
These traditions gather your closest people for one goal on your Wedding Day.
Your Wedding Bod is also one goal, and you don’t have to be alone in your pursuit.
If you have Bridesmaids and Groomsmen, why not rally their support?
Take them with you on some of your workouts.
Motivation is amplified when there’s more people involved, as long as they support the same goal. Asking them to join benefits both of you, and gives you more down time together to discuss Wedding Plans that you may have otherwise wasted on distractions like social media.
Ask them to give you verbal support each time they see you.
