Planning a Marriage Proposal for Eternal Love
Preparing to Propose in front of my girlfriend at Church Street in Burlington, VT
Introduction
Proposing to your significant other is a big task, because you have decided to ask them to join you for a life long relationship. You can remain worry free though, because you've probably made the right decision if you've come this far.
This is for you, but it’s actually for your significant other! It might be good to ask yourself, What would they expect from something that they can't even plan?
She was shocked!
Preparing your Fiancé
-Make sure they're feeling confident about how they look.
-Getting their nails done
This can be a dead giveaway if you haven't hid your actions well, but it should be done, and there are ways to accomplish it.
You could ask one of their friends or family members to initiate the request.
-Getting their hair done
Everyone loves when their hair is on point. You don’t have to get their wedding hair done yet, but you could consider a few things.
Do they like their hair up?
Do they love their hair down?
Make sure they didn’t just get a haircut or color that they currently dislike, and if you want to make it perfect, you can use the nail preparation tip by having someone bring them to get their hair done.
-Treat them extra well.
Maybe they’re feeling upset that you haven’t asked yet, or maybe you’re feeling nervous that you already have a plan. Stay strong, and let the emotions project positively by showing compassion and appreciation. Anything less will steer you off course.
Choosing a Location
-Pick a meaningful location
Memorable is the name of the game, right? You can choose somewhere like a first date location, or somewhere that has some underlying meaning only the two of you know about.
-Pick a Popular location
If you choose a popular location such as The Empire State Building, or the Summit of a Mount Washington, everyone will remember your love story.
In crowds of people, it’s easy to hide a videographer, photographer, or members of a flash mob.
-Pick an easy location
Successful is also the name of the game, any location will become a memorable one if you don’t figure out a crazy or previously meaningful location.
Choosing a Videographer/Photographer
Your future Fiance will be elated for their big moment, and that will transition into an OMG period where they can start to plan out who they want to call, and how they’ll tell the world. They might ask how you pulled it off, and you’ll finally be able to unveil all of your secrets.
-Make sure your conversations are hidden well.
First and foremost, it would be a shame if your significant other were to accidentally discover your amazing plan. Hidden or disappearing conversations could work, or you could change the name of your contacts to conceal your plans.
-Choose a professional.
Choose someone that can be casual, and concise. You don't have to find someone who delivers 4K HD content, but you should make sure that this person can protect your secret with their life.
-Hire your Wedding Videographer/Photographer
Consider hiring the Videographer/Photographer that you’d choose for your Wedding Day.
Speaking from personal experience, my Fiance had chosen Becca Rose Photography for some family photos the week before, so I had an idea of who to choose. Now she will be our Wedding Photographer. Our Wedding Day will be fun, easy, and familiar for us because of that.
-Get your friends or family in on it
Your friends, family, or acquaintances may be willing to do the work, but you have to make sure that their presence with a camera isn't a foreign concept!
Vlogs are a great alibi. If you choose to start to record Vlog clips early on, then by the time you need to record the real moment, they won’t be worrying about cameras anymore. This choice would also give you more special footage to put in the final video, like an inside scoop for the people you’re sharing your experience with.
If you want to relive your excitement, prepare a videographer, or a few friends to capture as the moment unfolds.
